What separates the top tier
The first split is edge data. APIs that ship pre-computed +EV, value, and arbitrage as first-class endpoints save you a multi-week build. APIs that don't, won't.
The second split is breadth. Sportsbooks alone aren't enough — exchanges (Sporttrade, Betfair Exchange, Novig) and prediction markets (Kalshi) have sharper prices and lower vig than retail books, so a serious EV scanner needs all three.
The third split is AI. The next wave of betting apps will lean heavily on LLM workflows grounded in odds data. APIs that already ship an AI endpoint (grounded in their own feed, not bolted-on RAG) will compound faster than ones that don't.
